Our philosophy is being a "Church Committed to Christ Without Compromise", built on a strong foundation with a Pastor who has a vision to minister to all people being led by the Holy Spirit through Evangelism.

Promise Land Church is committed to bringing men, women and children into the promise, presence and prosperity of God by equipping saints to Evangelize, empowering believers and enriching communities through Jesus Christ.

The Promise Land Church was founded in the year 1910 where church services were held in a tent and later relocated to 224 Reno.

In April 2000, the church experienced a new beginning when Pastor Elliot R. Shelton, Sr. became Pastor of Promise Land Church. In this transition were 40 dedicated members who embraced the vision.

From April 2000 to 2001, Promise Land Church experienced such a tremendous growth that it forced the congregation to locate to a larger facility.

From 2001 to 2002, Promise Land Church continued to experience church growth in great numbers. In August 2002, Promise Church moved for a second time due to its continuous Growth. At this present day, Promise Land Church has continued to witness God’s faithfulness through his continued growth in the church. In May 2005, the church’s membership exceeds the 800 mark. The church’s steady growth has enabled Pastor Shelton to develop a staff to help administer the needs of this growing congregation.
